Description

A more affordable way to attain our customizable carbon fiber steering wheel.

Unlike our Complete Custom steering wheel, this Core Only Custom Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel for the 2020+ C8 Corvette does not require a core deposit or core exchange. This means you do not have to send us your stock steering wheel after installing it. But, since it is core only, this version does not come with buttons and wiring. You will have to manually swap those from your stock steering wheel during installation. 

Features 

  • Brand New Hand Crafted Steering Wheel. Made to order, each steering wheel is individually custom handcrafted based on your specification. 
  • Direct Replacement Installation. Our custom steering wheels are modified versions of OEM steering wheels, you will have to swap your buttons, wiring and if applicable, trims.
  • Heat Function. Carbon Addons offer the ability to keep your steering wheel's heat function if yours came with one from factory. You will have to manually switch your heat function wiring plug for this option (reach out to us if you need instruction).
  • We use many different types of high-end carbon fiber. From the standard 2x2 Twill Carbon Fiber to Forged Carbon fiber, and even Honey Comb style carbon fiber, you can choose to use any of these options and in any color and finish!
  • We also use high-end Alcantara and Leather. We offer Smooth or Perforated leather in many different colors!

LED RPM Display Option Features 

  •  Unlike others, our LED display has 8 separate LED sets, totaling 12 LEDs to indicate RPM level compared to others who only has 5 LEDs/Sets on their display. Having 8 Sets of LEDs enables you to have each Sets of LEDs represent 1k RPM for a more accurate indicator of your RPM level. Of course this is fully customizable and can be set from 5k-8k limit by 1k intervals on the settings. You will also have the ability to change the LED color to different options within the setting, as well as brightness and more. Our LED RPM display is sourced from Japan which is known for the quality of their products so you know you are getting the best quality for your dollar.

    Feel free to let us know any customization you'd like to add to your steering wheel that is not available on our customization menu. 

    RETAINS ONLY THE SAME ELECTRICAL FUNCTIONS AS YOUR CURRENT STEERING WHEEL. SWAPPING BUTTONS, WIRING AND TRIMS REQUIRED. YOU WILL HAVE TO MANUALLY SWAP YOUR OWN BUTTONS ALONG WITH THE WIRE HARNESS AND TRIMS FROM YOUR STOCK STEERING WHEEL TO THE CUSTOM STEERING WHEEL. 

    YOU WILL NEED TO RE-USE YOUR CURRENT AIRBAG FOR THE NEW WHEEL.

    THE CURRENT LEAD TIME IS 6-8 WEEKS

    I ordered what feels like everything CarbonAddons has to offer for a 2013 Camaro, a 2018 Camaro and a 2016 Mustang... Steering wheels, shifters, Bezels, covers, Overlays - all of it. Some of the overlays posed a challenge, especially when the surface area is very slim... but with proper prep (heating up the surfaces and prepping with Alcohol and adhesion promoter makes a big difference!!) it all worked out. The actual carbon Fiber covers fit like gloves and look spectacular. Especially the steering wheel and the shifter are amazing. Everybody that sees it is incredibly complimentary - a true upgrade to the interior of your cars. I love it every day and very much recommend it! Great Job Carbonaddons team :)

    It was a process but the end product came out exceptional. Ordered and waited approximately 5 weeks to get an email that was a bit of bad news. While they were producing the steering wheel they damaged the carbon fiber while installing the buttons. Instead of shipping a substandard product CarbonAddOns remade the wheel necessitating another 4 week delay. I am deeply appreciative for their commitment to customer service by not shipping a product that didn't meet their quality standards. The finished product looks and feels great and if you are worried about matching the factory matt carbon fiber don't CarbonAddOns has it down perfectly...looks like it was installed in Bowling Green. 10 out of 10 stars...keep up the good work guys.

    Purchased this back in Feb 2022! Outside looks great no complaints but just recently I noticed one of the screw was missing so I contacted the support team they told me pay for shipping and they sent me a new one. Today I tried to put the screw on but it kept turning so I decided to remove the cover and it turned out the reason why the original screw fell off it was bcuz the screw plastic mount broke in half. And the other mount has a crack going down to it. Never messed with the cover screws before and after the steering wheel install. Left it how it came in from the shipper. The plastic that they used fells and sound like it’s brittle. Now I hope that after 2022 they improved their screw mounting points so others don’t have this issue I’m having. Love this steering wheel just sucks that this happened.

    Overall I’m happy with the custom steering wheel I purchased. I understand it’s a factory unit rebuilt, but the control buttons were a lil faded. The top carbon mold and center ring weren’t exactly flat or “centered”. That being said it it very solid, doesn’t feel cheap, looks good, and everything functions as it should. Love the Alcantera… it’s much better quality than the stock alcantera.

    I took a lot of time and went over several designs before finally deciding. The wait for this custom bad boy is well worth it. You will need an impact gun to get your stock steering wheel bolt off. First off the quality and craftsmanship is amazing. I could not believe my eyes. It was beautiful. The detail of this steering wheel is amazing. Folks at car shows ask me where I got it from and I happily tell them Carbonaddons.com. I kept the heated function but opted against the RPM lights bc I use and like my HUD. Every one says the steering wheel is the focal point of the interior (which was the idea). Bottom line is you won't be disappointed.

    The details in the carbon fiber and overall steering wheel are unbelievable, definitely exceeded my expectations and installation is fairly simple to do on your own. I would say the only thing that you need to pay attention to is your factory options and wiring, I disassembled the wheel to swap my buttons and connect 2 wires, besides that the purchase was 100% worth it.

    For anyone looking to get a carbon fiber wheel replacement this is the best place you could possibly go. The customization options alone are the best on the market. I also love that they sell completed wheels with button trims so you don’t have to move over that entire wiring harness. Installation was a breeze and I have been loving driving my car ever since. I got mine in a matte carbon fiber finish and LOVE IT! I am so beyond pleased with how my wheel turned out. I cannot recommend this product or its company highly enough!
